Ultimate Auctions is Ireland’s first online auctions website with dedicated car auctions & van auctions. We at Continuum we are very excited to work on such an exciting project.
While the design speaks for itself with vibrant colours and smart features such as the online auction countdown, it is the back engine that is truely impressive. Once the auction begins the site transforms into a live bidding arena where each member can make multiple standard and auto bids on a variety of lots in the auction.
A standard bid is a done manually during the auction, and bidders simply click on the indicated bid amount and compete with other car auction viewers to win the item. For those that do not want to take part in the auction, they can avail of the auto bid function by simply entering the highest amount they are willing to pay, and let the system bid for you. The Ultimate auctions "Auto-bid" system will bid up to your maximum amount, but not past it. The "Auto-bid" system only bids enough for you to win, if you are in the lead and no other bids are entered, then your bid is not raised.
